Ronan de Kervenoael┬áis a Lecturer of Marketing at Sabanci University (Turkey) and a network Lecturer at Aston Business School (UK). His wider research interests lie under the umbrella of consumer behaviour and retailing, including the study of social, cultural, and technological transformations in how consumers (re)organize their lives and become producers of their experiences.More specifically, this includes retail change (particularly in relation to consumer choice and public policy debates), everyday consumption practices, technology, shopping spaces and places.┬áThere is a distinctive research emphasis around the themes of digital transformation, market driving practice and innovation. The focus of the research questions has been on understanding the ways that consumersÔÇÖ practices resist, challenge┬áand/or maintain the dominant institutional logic and industry boundaries.

Ronan has published his work in a range of specialist retailing, marketing and wider social science journals, including: Environment & Planning A, World Development, The Service Industries Journal, Information Technology & People, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, The International Review of Retail Distribution and Consumer Research, Managing Service Quality, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, European Journal of Operational Research, Telecommunications Policy, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, and Future: The Journal of Policy, Planning and Futures Studies.
