Research
Dr. Nilsson?s research deals with various forms and applications of managerial accounting for supply chain management. Key areas are interorganizational forms of Target Costing, Value Engineering, Kaizen, Open Book Strategy and Total Cost of Ownership. Currently he works with two colleagues at Stockholm School of Economics and studies the implementation and effects of open book strategies in the manufacturing, retail and service industries. His articles have been published in, among other journals, Management Accounting Research, International Journal of Production Economics, and Qualitative Research in Accounting and Management. He has presented papers at numerous conferences, e.g. American Accounting Association (AAA), European Accounting Association (EAA) and European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM) et al.
