Dr. Chraiti is currently an assistant professor at the department of Electronics Engineering at Sabanci University. He received the Ph.D. degree in Elec. and Comp. Eng. from Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 2019. From 2020 to 2022, he was a postdoctoral researcher with the Wireless Communication and Network Sciences Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. In 2018, he was with Bell Labs (Crawford Hill, New Jersey) as a visiting researcher for six months. He worked at Texas A&M University as an associate researcher in 2016 and 2019. In recognition of his outstanding research, he received several awards including the Governor General’s Gold medal (the most prestigious academic award in Canada); Valedictorian of the School of Engineering; the Doctoral Prize in Engineering and Computer Science (one award is presented annually); the NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship (the most prestigious fellowship in Canada); Marie Sklodwaska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (the most prestigious fellowship across Europe); and the FQRNT doctoral scholarship. His research interests fall in the broad area of cellular networks, with an emphasis on 5G/6G self-oriented cellular networks, mmWave communications, dense network control/management, and Internet-of-Everything (IoE). He is currently the lead PI of two research projects, one is funded by Tubitak (under the 1001 program) and another by Horizon Europe.
