I am a Political Science PhD candidate at Sabanci University in İstanbul. My dissertation research is about citizenship in Turkey. More specifically, I focus on perceptions of citizenship as a concept, as well as the rights and liberties associated with it. I use multiple methods for my research, including survey and in-depth interviews. The empirical research, on which my dissertation is based, is being funded by TUBİTAK.

My majors are Comparative Politics and Political Theory. In addition, I am interested in and working on Citizenship Studies, Migration, Democratization, Theories of Rights and Democratic Theory.
