Füsun Ülengin is a professor of Operations Research and Decision Analysis. She has been graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Managerial Engineering Faculty with the top score in 1983andearnedher MSc. degree from Bosphorus University, Industrial EngineeringDepartmentin 1985. She pursued her Ph.D. education at Waterloo UniversityatEngineeringFaculty, Department of Management Sciences, and received her degree from Istanbul TechnicalUniversity, Management Facultyin 1989. She pursued her post-doctoral research at BirminghamUniversity, Production Engineering Department. She was the Dean of the Management Faculty at Istanbul Technical University in 2002-2005period, Dean of Engineering Faculty as well as the Head of Industrial Engineering Department at Doğuş University in 2009-2013, and finally Dean of the School of Management at SabancıUniversity between 2013-2018. Her research focuses on the multiobjective evaluation of macro systems in general, and transportation and logistics systems, in particular. She has published many papers in well-known SCI and SSCI journals such as Omega, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Operational Research Society, Transportation Research-E, Transportation Research-C, Interfaces, Expert systems with applications, RETREC, etc. Currently, she is in the Editorial Board of Transport Policy and RETREC. She is the scientific and steering committee member of the World Conference of Transportation Research Society-(WCTRS). Dr. Ülengin acted as the Program Committee Chair of World Conference of Transport Research; (WCTR’2004), Odyseus Workshop on Logistics’ 2009, IFAC International Symposium on Computational Economics and Financial and Industrial Systems-CEFIS ’07, 32nd National Operations Research Industrial Engineering Conference (YAEM’2012). She was the Scientific Committee Vice-chair WCTR Scientific Committee in 2010-2013 and 2013-2016 periods. She has been assigned as the vice-chair responsible of publications since 2016. Dr. Ülengin is the advisor of the transportation and logistics council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) since 2010’s.
