About Me

Kudret Akçapınar holds  a B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronics engineering at Bahçeşehir University and an M.Sc. degree in electronics engineering at Sabancı University in 2012 and 2016, respectively. In his senior year he studied at Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH and carried out his research studies at Cleveland Clinic Foundations, where he developed a software to test the frequency response characteristics of Computed Tomography (CT) scanners. As of January 2014, he joined the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabanci University. In his thesis titled “On the Throughput of In-Band Full-Duplex Communication in Wireless Systems”, he comprehensively worked on  in-band full-duplex (IBFD) wireless communications and devised a novel joint routing & power control scheme for full-duplex transmission in ad-hoc networks. Mr. Akçapinar currently is a Ph.D. student at SU Telecommunications & Networking Laboratory and also serves as teaching assistant at Sabanci University.
