Today, the 5th Strategic Purchasing Summit of Stratejik Satınalma Derneği (SSD) was held in Istanbul, Türkiye. Around 800 purchasing and supply chain management professionals in Türkiye have attended the event. The theme of the summit was “Strategic relationship management: Creating shared value”. In his opening speech, SSD President Ali Erkan Sökmen has emphasized the growing community of purchasing professionals in Türkiye and also stressed the increasingly strategic role of purchasing in light of both local and global changes.
