I am the founding Director of Sabancı University, Center of Excellence in Data Analytics (SU VERİM). The current Director of VERIM is Assoc. Prof. Kamer Kaya.
We promote inter-disciplinary and collaborative work in order to solve challenging problems. We value collaboration with industry and working on real-life problems.
Our collaboration takes the form of consulting (from 1-2 particular faculty members or VERİM in general – so faculty members may change depending on the phase of the project); project (where we work on the project and help with the knowledge transfer and deployment code); or the model we propose, which is something in between (we consult and also work on challenging parts of the problem with our students).
