The FOTECH Team

The FOTECH Team organise events in collaboration with the curriculum teams of host institutions. Current members of the team are:

 

Adam

Adam Simpson (DELTA-MA in TESOL) has been living and teaching in Istanbul, Turkey for fifteen years in tertiary level education. His professional interests include Dogme ELT, descriptive rather than prescriptive curriculum development, and the considered use of technology in language teaching. He regularly speaks at conferences and is the author of a multi-award winning blog: Teach them English.

 

Burca

Burça Çapkan (DELTA) has been teaching English at various levels since 1998. She holds CertICT and has completed “A Virtual Learning Environment Course” provided by the Consultants-E. Her interests include integrating technology into teaching and virtual learning environments. She is also the author of an article titled ‘How to make the the most out of Moodle‘ on Sabanci University SL Blog.

 

Evrim

Evrim Uysal (MA in ELT), has been working at Sabancı University since its foundation. She is actively involved in institutional online course-management system maintenance and content production and offers professional development as part of her OLSP work and the Webinar Team work in the SL. Her interests include educational technology, sociolinguistics, learner development and academic writing.

 

Sibel

Sibel Taşkın Şimşek is actively involved as a member of the OLSP and Webinar teams at the SL. She has professional certificates including “Teaching English with Technology” offered by The Consultants-E. Her interests include technology integration into teaching, MOOCs, learner development and motivation. Her blog songstoteachenglish has recently won the Edublog Awards 2014 “Best Educational Use of Media”.
