Dr. Anbar studied Mathematics at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey, from 2003 to 2007. She then pursued her Master’s degree at Sabancı University on “Ramification in Extensions of Rational Function Fields” under the supervision of Prof. Henning Stichtenoth. She continued her Ph.D. research on “Algebraic Curves in Prime Characteristics” at Sabancı University, working with Prof. Stichtenoth. During her Ph.D. studies, she spent a year at the University of Perugia in Italy (March 2011 to February 2012) collaborating with Prof. Massimo Gulietti.
After earning her Ph.D., Dr. Anbar held postdoctoral and research scientist positions at Sabancı University (July 2012 to February 2014), at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn, Germany (March 2014 to May 2014), at the Technical University of Denmark (November 2014 to September 2016), at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in Germany (October 2016 to March 2017), at RICAM in Linz, Austria (May 2017 to January 2018), and at Johannes Kepler University in Linz (February 2018 to August 2018).
Since September 2018, she has been a faculty member in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabancı University.
