Z. Özlem Kocabaş received the B.Sc degree in Material Science and Engineering with a minor degree in Chemistry from Sabanci University, Turkey, in 2008 and she has been studying at the Department of Natural Science and Engineering of Sabanci University as a PhD student supported by full scholarship from Sabanci University. Her main research interests are synthesis, characterization, and functionalization of nanoparticles, molecular imprinted polymers, bioremediation and adsorption of heavy metals from aqueous solution.
