Welcome

Welcome to Peyman’s  Page . . .

Dr. Peyman Lahe Motlagh is a Postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Sabanci University, Turkey. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2020 from Koc university in the field of Vibration and Acoustic with a focus on Smart materials in Energy Harvesting applications in the department of mechanical engineering. During his Ph.D. studies, he worked on modeling and implementation of smart materials with a focus on energy harvesting and shunt damping. He obtained the MSc in 2014 from the Mechanical Engineering Department at Sharif University of technology, modeling nonlinear materials in vibration on tires and investigating the viscoelastic behavior of rubbers. He obtained the BSc in 2012 from the Mechanical Engineering Department at Sharif university of technology. Dr. Lahe’s areas of expertise involve computational mechanics and engineering involving Spectral Tchebychev modeling of complex multiphysics systems, modeling and experimental validation of viscoelastic materials, smart materials implementation with the focus of energy harvesting, modeling of composite structures such as functionally graded materials and laminated sandwich panels. He is author/co-author of more than 5 journal articles published in high-impact journals, and also prepared and presented over 3 conference papers on these topics, published 4 books chapter about modeling and implementation of modeling in structural dynamics.

Dr. Peyman Lahe currently works in the field of modeling crack propagation, topology optimization, and also the implementation of optimization algorithms for increasing energy harvesting on composite structures.
