Education
He received his B.Sc. (1986) in Industrial Engineering from Bosphorous University and his M.Sc. (1987) in International Management from Istanbul University Management School.
Work Experience
He worked as a Systems Analyst and Computer Programmer for Gripin Pharmaceuticals Co. (1983-1987). He joined Orta Anadolu Textiles Co. in 1988, where he was responsible for Marketing and Product Development until 1992 and served the same company as Quality Systems Coordinator until 1999. He became the ISO-9000 Quality System Auditor in 1993. Since 1994, he has participated in the Turkish and the European Quality Award Processes as Senior Assessor. He served as a member of the Executive Board of the National Quality Award (2005-2011) and as a member of the Board of Directors of Turkish Quality Association (2009-2011). He has also served as a member of the Accreditation Board of MUDEK (Association of Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs) between 2007 and 2012. He joined Sabanci University in 1999 and leads the Institutional Development team since 2001.
