Ezgi Akpinar is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Sabancı Business School.  She is the Professional Programs Director at Sabancı University since 2022.

Dr. Akpinar received her Ph.D. from Erasmus University. During her doctoral studies, she was a visiting scholar at Wharton, University of Pennsylvania. She has completed her Master’s degree at Tilburg University, and undergraduate degrees in Economics and Business Administration at Koç University.

She has published in leading journals including Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing among others. She received the EMAC McKinsey Best Marketing Dissertation award, Gold Research Award by the Turkish Researchers’ Association, and the Young Scientist Award in Business from the Science Academy Young Scientist Award Program (BAGEP).

She has delivered presentations and moderated several sessions in leading conferences including Association of Consumer Research, Society for Consumer Psychology, European Marketing Academy and ESOMAR. She has been collaborating with several firms as a consultant, including Unilever, Coca-Cola, IPSOS, İş Yatırım.

Her expertise includes digital marketing, word of mouth marketing, social influence, consumer behavior.
