5 June 2020 – Article: Preparing for supply risks in light of COVID-19

The Covid-19 crisis once again showed managers the need for purchasing to be represented at the board level and the importance of preparing for supply risks. Covid-19 might be unlike any other supply chain disruption in the near past; however, it is for sure that it will not be the last. So, how can companies prepare for future supply risks and disruptions? In my recent practitioner article published in the TEDAR Magazine, I discuss the role of having supply risk management systems, mapping supply chains, balancing global sourcing and local sourcing, and paying attention to supplier relationship management.
