Our meta-analysis paper on supply chain complexity with Robert Suurmond, Davide Luzzini and Dan Krause is one of the top cited papers in Journal of Supply Chain Management in the period of 2021-2022. We find that although supply chain complexity is detrimental for operational performance, it is beneficial for innovation and financial performance.
