I have been bothered by the tone or content in some emails I receive.

When you want to meet, you should not say “…. when are you free?” This is a bit too direct or impolite (I have double checked with my kids and colleagues) – instead you should ask “do you have any time to meet?” or “can we please meet?” etc. In Turkish, adding the word “acaba” makes it more polite.

Another one: “You havent wrote back to my email, is there a problem?” When I pointed, the person said “You misunderstood me” :)
